My students need a mini iPad to be a be able to use during our literacy centers. My first graders could benefit greatly from using a mini iPad to practice phonics, read books online, became fluent.
I teach first grade and my students are incredible. They come to school every day ready to learn and explore. In order for me to maximize their learning experience we need a mini iPad in our room. I teach a first grade class with many diverse personalities and needs. I have 6 English language learners, 2 migrant students. Most of my students get free or reduced lunch. We need to use technology in order to help engage and encourage practice of emergent literacy skills. Please consider helping our class; it would make a huge impact in our classroom. So many of my students haven't been exposed to technology at home. Having a mini iPad in our room will help them greatly.
My Project
Our class will benefit greatly by having a mini ipad to use during our Literacy Centers , Math and Science centers. In order for my first graders to be prepared for secong grade they need to use technology effectively in the classroom.
We will use the mini ipad to read books online, increase comprehension, practice phonemec awareness, and phonics.
We will use the mini iPad during Math centers to practice addition, subtraction, practive problem solving skills . Also, we will use the mini ipad during the science centers to be able to do our research regrding different topics such as rocks and soil. Lastly, we can predict and conduct experiments and record our experiment in our mini iPad.
