I teach first grade in a higher need elementary school in a smaller community in Indiana.

I have a growing number of non English speaking students. Our poverty numbers are rising also. Many of my students begin school without the skills they need to become successful readers. I would like to have a listening center to reinforce literacy skills.

I need a listening center and storage cart. If students can follow along with a book while they hear it on tape, it will reinforce skills and build self-confidence.

Students who struggle with reading become frustrated and may give up. Your contribution to this project will help build a solid literacy foundation for many students, for many years!
