This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My school is in a low-income area that serves primarily minority students. These families suffer from food insecurity. Please consider helping me provide for my students.
Please help me provide food for students to take home for evenings and weekends; no child should ever be hungry.
Having access to snacks will help my students be more focused and engaged in their work because they will not be hungry.
This food will be added to my Care Closet in my classroom. Students will be allowed to "shop" from the closet as often as needed. I already have some clothing items and some food. This project will add a lot of food to our closet.
