My Students

My students are a group of highly energetic and motivated First Graders. They love to learn and delight in sharing their knowledge with others. My students come from diverse backgrounds and our school is located in a high needs area. With that in mind, I want to give my students every advantage that I can, to be successful and reach their full potential. We learn from one another on a daily basis and strive to be cognizant of what we can do to help others through learning and caring.

My Project

The Students will use these materials to gain knowledge from the many exciting nonfiction jobs, animals and places that are in our world! By having the opportunity to read books that are at each child's own reading level, excitement and desire to read will grow. Every child does not learn at the same rate. This leveled library will allow for differentiation in our guided reading time and will encourage even the most reluctant reader with enticing pictures, words and titles. I am so excited for these books to get into the hands of my students. I know they are going to love them and their reading will soar as these are such high interest books!
