My students come from various backgrounds and ethnicities. We are a public school housed on a military base. This being said, we are also in a state that is currently in an educational finance crisis where we have been cut back to the minimum, at most, and then cut some more. We are also currently the lowest in teachers' pay and expected to provide resources and supplies for our own classrooms with minimal salaries. Because I love being an educator and I am passionate about my career choice, I do what I can but it comes as a sacrifice to my own daughters at times.
I am blessed to serve as an educator for the families who serve our country and daily protect our nation's freedom.
My kiddos tend to come and go throughout the year. It is always hard to see one of my angels move away, but they handle it so well for the most part. I am thankful for social media and technology that allow us to keep in touch over the years.
The students are eager to learn, and I want to provide the best environment for them to grow and develop socially, educationally, and physically.
My Project
We've hit that time of year when supplies are dwindling, markers are dry, crayons are nubs, and glue sticks are in short supply. As a teacher in a low-paying state, I am unable to supply the needs of my classroom on my income.
The fulfillment of this project would mean that we would be able to finish out the school year with needed supplies.
It would mean that I would not have to ration things in order to have enough for everyone. This project is crucial to meeting the needs of my sweet firsties. Your donation will be well used and greatly appreciated by one very desperate teacher and a room full of eager learners.
