My first grade students are growing up and learning in a very diverse community and school district! My students come from many different cultural backgrounds, with varying degrees of English proficiency. In our classroom, we are able to learn from each other and teach one another about our differences.
First graders are at the best age because they are so excited about learning and truly love coming to school every day.
My students make me proud to be a teacher.
The watercolor paint sets, dot art painters, and clay and dough designer kit will encourage my students to think creatively, but more importantly will give them the supplies to do so. Simply seeing these art supplies will inspire them and get their creative juices flowing.
Art is closely tied to culture, and it is amazing to learn about our differences and similarities through art.
My first graders can surely make some beautiful art throughout the year to show and tell about themselves. We will use these materials to make numerous art projects throughout the year, relating to culture, content, seasons, and anything else that excites us!
My classroom does not have any of these supplies currently, and I want to do everything that I can to foster their creative minds! I cannot wait to see what they create.
