Mr. Houck from Philadelphia PA is requesting lab equipment through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students lab equipment that will allow them to perform college-level physics experiments and demonstrations.

The inaugural class of AP Physics scholars at our project-based public high school in Philadelphia is comprised of students who are inquisitive, energetic, and enthusiastic about their education. Over 90% of our student body is classified as economically disadvantaged.
They love learning from hands-on experiments as much as possible.
As seniors, they have an intense focus on preparing themselves academically and socially for a variety of post-secondary plans next year. They seek out challenging coursework (that's why they're in this class!) and opportunities to push themselves to new heights every day.
The AP curriculum is rigorous in its expectations of students and requires instructors to provide high-level laboratory learning experiences. As our school already has some Vernier equipment, the two Mini-interfaces will allow our full class of students to perform labs at the same time. The dual-force sensors will be utilized in a variety of experiments throughout the year, including the study of collisions, friction, and simple harmonic motion.
My students will use these instruments to bring our laboratory offerings up to AP standards and provide a richer learning experience for students.
They have enjoyed their opportunities to work with the lab equipment that we currently possess and eagerly await the enriching activities that would be made possible with these tools and instruments.
