This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our students are INCREDIBLE. I love the way they are open to learning new skills and gaining new friendships. I have access to all grades, which means I am extremely lucky to learn and grow with everyone in our program.
I love the way our students work hard each day during the school day and continue to excel during the afternoons for after school and extracurricular classes.
They consistently keep a willingness and readiness to explore and engage in new things.
I am extremely proud of how our children seem to enjoy trying new things and learning new concepts. I am very proud to work with our children each day and look forward to exposing them to new things.
My Project
Our amazing students, especially within our first grade classes, are very engaged with creating and participating in S.T.E.M activities. With these materials, students will have the ability to make and create many things. For example, the use of metal lettering and leather bands will allow students to create jewelry, and the dry yeast can be used for an experiment called elephant toothpaste. Students will have the option to use the materials in various ways and create and invent, broadening the traditional options that students are offered and exposing them to more incredible experiences.
