Although our rural school is surrounded by empty farmlands and railroad tracks, our school is doing their best to integrate technology in the classroom. With all of the online experiences and tools available, it's crazy not to have technology in the classroom.
Have you ever seen a child not fully engrossed with any piece of technology in their hands.
Unfortunately as of now, our school doesn't have enough funds to give every child the technology they could use to encourage learning.
My Project
Every child loves technology. However, not every child loves to be learning at school. With this project, I plan on integrating technology in the classroom. With an unlimited amount of resources, apps, experiences etc. online, I want to broaden my students horizon in the classroom.
From amazing Youtube videos, to online labs students have an unlimited amount of learning to do at the tip of their fingers.
I plan on using these tablets to integrate all of the wonderful resources available online into our everyday learning.
In my classroom, I use station rotation a lot to solidify what we learn as a whole class. With station rotation students can take what they learned during the lesson and implement it with different activities. With one of the station rotations having a technology enhancement, it can be one more way students can learn that lesson. Not all students learn the same way, and technology is one way to help more students learn the material.
