My students need books for read alouds and independent reading, cubbies for their take home work, a pencil sharpener, and some basic school supplies.

My Students

Imagine you are a young learner soaking up new words everyday. Now, double that because you are learning two languages.

My students for the upcoming year are multicultural, with a majority of them being English Language Learning.

Many do not have books at home and struggle to read and write in English. Yet, they are enthusiastic to learn and willing to try. They are excited to come to school.

My Project

With access to well written books, my students will develop essential comprehension skills and a love for literature. An electric pencil sharpener would allow my students to write stories free from the interruption of technical pencil problems. We would be glad to have a set of classroom mailbox's so we can develop organization skills and keep track of our finished work.

With these materials, my students will become joyful readers, expressive writers and independent scholars.

It is my hope, that my students gain confidence in their abilities, so that they can reach for the stars!
