My Students

Many of the students in my classroom come from low income homes. They come in interested in the world around them and about things that have happened in history. Reading is a way to help feed their budding curiosity.

These students are growing and learning in the same community where I grew up and was educated.

I want to provide them with the same quality education that I received. I want them to have a great start to their education.

My Project

When students are in the listening center students have a choice to listen to books on CD's or use Leap Frog products. I would like to give students the opportunity to use other technology to listen to stories. Adding Kindle Fire tablets will give them access to many books that we do not have in the classroom.

Having access to a Kindle Fire during our center time will enhance my student's learning.

It will allow students to listen to books at their level or allow students to listen to a different story than their classmates which will help reduce conflicts.
