My students need classroom storage, USB flash drives, and other essentials to aid in keeping their assignments and our classroom organized, clean, and inviting.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." -Aristotle
My goal as a teacher is to inspire my students to be the very best version of themselves each and everyday. In addition to mathematics, I teach life skills and character education daily.
My students are bright, talented 14-20 year old "at-risk" students in Texas.
Due to various personal circumstances, each of my students lacks enough credit hours to graduate on time. At my campus, we offer an accelerated, blended learning curriculum to assist them on the path to graduation! Eager to transition into life after K-12 education, each of my students plans to pursue a post-secondary education or certification. Contributing to this project will aid in their transitions from secondary students to productive, responsible citizens.
My Project
With the requested colored pencils, printer paper, and other supplies, my students will be able to creatively express themselves through their work. The paper trays and dividers will aid students in organizing their assignments and materials. Additionally, the class set of USB flash drives will allow students to easily save, edit, and submit their assignments. Lastly, having cleaning supplies handy will allow for easy and swift cleanup of our computer lab. Having the requested supplies will assist my students in completing the blended curriculum faster by allowing for more class time to be spent working and mastering the curriculum versus organizing and copying handwritten notes, assignments, and homework.
By donating to this project students will spend more time mastering math concepts- placing them one step closer to graduation.
With all students, every second spent in class counts.
