This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are preschoolers, ages three to five. For most of them, this will be there first time in a classroom setting. Some of my students are low-income and come from environments that require early intervention. Engaging the students with visual, tactile and auditory stimulation gives the students an opportunity to inquire about the environment around them. Some of the students may be developmentally below their age level and providing creative meaningful learning experiences is a necessity.
Providing these learning experiences allow the students the advantage that they need to be successful in the future.
My Project
I love that my students are excited about being at school and going to kindergarten. They are excited about learning and are very creative. They have wonderful stories and ideas to share and express. These materials and supplies will help reinforce the adding and subtracting concepts we introduce to our preschool students. These materials will enhance fine motor skills that are so important for writing, cutting and drawing, as well as other activities. These materials will allow the students to use their creativity and concepts learning, in ways they may not have yet experienced.
