My Students

"A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning."—Brad Henry

My students are 5-6-year-olds who come to school every day with smiles on their faces and are eager to learn.

I am a first-year teacher, teaching full-day kindergarten to 23 students. Most of my students are English language learners who come from very low-income homes. At our school, more than 100% of the student population receives free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. Overall, my students are caring, enjoy hands-on experiences, and enjoy learning new things every day. As their teacher, I enjoy teaching them every single day.

My Project

Fine motor skills are achieved when small children learn to use their smaller muscles, like muscles in their hands, fingers, and wrists. They use their fine motor skills when writing, holding small items, turning pages, cutting with scissors, and using computer keyboards. In Kindergarten, students have to do a lot with their fine motor skills. They need to hold their pencils, use scissors, count with objects and so much more. These materials will help my students to build and strengthen their fine motor muscles.

My students will work with theses materials in learning stations to build their fine motor muscles.

They will use the triangle crayons, games, tennis balls, Squigz Starter, STEM activities to build and be creative. The fine motor games will allow my students to work in learning stations to build their small muscle strength.
