My students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Most are second language learners, who need visuals and extra support learning the language. The area around the school is mostly apartments. My students need extra supplies in order to jump start their learning and get them ready to start reading and writing. Students are so enthusiastic about learning and wanting to grasp the language, sounds and words. With these supplies, students will have the opportunity to get to where they need to be in kindergarten.
My Project
These materials will help make a difference by giving my students the materials needed to improve their fine motor skills! The pop and add math game will allow students to practice using their hand to press down to pop a number, they will then get to use tongs to practice fine motor skills to count out the number they popped, and add the two numbers together.
Feed the Monkey is a fun and engaging game for students to enjoy while they practice and improve their fine motor skills.
Counting and sorting ovens will give students additional practice for practice their sorting skills.
