I teach at a Title I elementary school where we have full day kindergarten. My students are learning to become independent thinkers and learners. We recently had the opportunity to experience the Breakout Edu boxes where my students were working on critical thinking, collaboration, and reasoning. During this process, I noticed that many of my students had a difficult time manipulating the locks.
My students learn best when they are engaged in hands on learning.
They participate in daily math and literacy stations where they complete independent activities that they are able to be successful at. It increases their engagement by holding their attention and helping them focus while making learning fun!
My Project
The lock sets, building sets, and fine motor practice will provide daily opportunities for my students to develop their fine motor skills. My students are active and engaged learners. These materials will help my students develop their fine motor skills while they continue to work on academics in a fun and engaging way. As my students develop their fine motor skills, their hand-eye coordination will also improve.
The donations for this project will give my students different opportunities to strengthen their fine motor skills that will help them be more successful as they continue to grow and learn.
The Phonics Learning Locks, Balancing Blocks, Counting Cars, and Snap-Bots will allow my students to have fun while learning and strengthening their fine motor skills.
