My students need a variety of games and manipulatives, like Perfection, lacing/pattern bead sets, adaptive scissors, etc in order to develop necessary fine motor skills.
My students were born with or have had a traumatic injury which caused significant fine motor delays. Many have a diagnosis such as Cerebral Palsy or Autism. They struggle with strength and coordination necessary for writing, cutting, opening their milk at lunch, etc.
My students have a diagnoses such as a learning disability, physical disability, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit disorder, etc.
They require extra instruction to meet their specific needs. Many come from lower income families with little access to hands-on materials.
My Project
My students need various hands-on learning materials such as Perfection, lacing/pattern bead sets, adaptive scissors, etc to increase fine motor skills necessary to participate in classroom and out of classroom learning. These resources will make increasing fine motor skills fun! Let's be honest! We don't like to do things that are difficult and my students are no different. By providing them with materials they enjoy using they will increase strength and coordination without even knowing it!
