At our school, our mission is to prepare each child for academic, social, and emotional success in our learning environment and for lifetime success in our ever-changing world. We want to make sure we prepare students the best way we can!
Our school is extremely diverse and we try and provide an environment where all students, no matter their background, home life, or learning abilities flourish on a daily basis.
My goal is to create a classroom community that all students feel safe in and free to grow and learn from each other regardless of their background.
My Project
Students deserve a classroom community full of laughter, fun, and engaging hands on learning. The jump from second grade to third grade is huge! My students need as many opportunities to have hands on practice with the standards we will be learning. The math folder games will give students an opportunity to work cooperatively with their peers on the skills and tasks we will be learning during the instruction time. The graphing white boards will give students the chance to practice the more difficult skills we cover in third grade, such as area and perimeter. The base ten sets will help those students who are still struggling with their foundation in math facts.
Education needs to be engaging and exciting for students!
To help make our class time engaging and exciting we will use the microphone for students to share ideas and thoughts with the class. We will also use the wireless doorbell as an attention grabber during instructional time as well as to share with the class when a students reaches their goals and celebrate with them! Having students share and engage in their learning will have them excited about learning and sharing with their peers!
