Have you ever wondered where your place is in the world? Today more than ever students are exposed to a wide variety of cultures and cities and yet they know so little about their place and location in the world. Geography is a lost skill that is being brought back to life in our small town.
Our students live in a rural setting and many have not traveled more than 20 miles from their home.
It's hard to explain world geography when a child has never visited a city, seen a mountain, or listened to the waves of the ocean. Our students are beginning to think about higher education and career choices and yet they are somewhat isolated by their rural living situations.
Our school has many bright student that would benefit from a better understanding of world geography and how they fit in this world we live in.
These book are for students to read about the wonderful world we live in. Students will be able to picture the places of world after reading these books. They may not be able to travel to all the cities in the world, but they need to know the possibilities for their future.
As these students begin to think about higher education, they need to know about all the available places to live and work in the world.
Without an understanding of the world, students may not reach their full potential as citizens. Please help our student understand the geography of the world in which we live.
