My class is made up of 7 boys and 13 girls. We have 4 English Language learners in our room. We have many different races and cultures in our room. There are 2 students with learning disabilities. My students work hard, are friendly towards one another and share many stories with me. They share well and work together amazing. I love my class. They have made this year one of my best years teaching. I have been teaching for 27 years and this class has brought me much joy. I love going to work and want to do everything I can for this group of wonderful children.
Students who can easily see books that are just right for them will be able to choose the books they want to read. When books are organized by level students can just go to the books that would be a good fit for them. If students have to look through books that are not organized they may pick a book that is not on their level and either get discouraged that they can't read the book or get a book that is too easy and they don't learn from the book. To be able to level the books and keep them in an organized way would be beneficial for my students.
Organization is the key and these leveled library carts would help my students.
