I teach math and science in a school with a high population of low income students. They were academically behind before COVID and the gap has become even greater. To get my students back on track, I want to provide any and all resources available to aid with comprehension. However in spite of the challenges they face, they are excited about being in school and are ready to learn!
My students are curious, hardworking and motivated!
We have lively class discussions about science and they are doing their best to grasp math concepts. Your donation will be greatly appreciated and will have a huge impact on their learning.
My Project
These items will provide students with an opportunity to discover mathematical concepts using hands on activities that will aid in understanding fractions. Technology is a wonderful tool to have, but there are times when it can put aside. Utilizing manipulatives keeps students engaged and makes the abstract concrete.
The mathematical discovery cans will allow students to work independently or in small groups to master or reinforce content.
The magnetic white board will be a great tool to use to lead small group instruction. Finally, the versatile white boards and plastic sheet covers are perfect for paperless instruction.
