My students are part of a very small school community in a very rural area; we are also considered a high-poverty school. Our school has an awesome, small community atmosphere. We care about each other, and it is common to hear students asking teachers about their weekend or how their family is and vice versa. My students are hard-working, inquisitive, and love to learn. They strive to do their very best every day. One of the best things about our school is our amazing students!
My donors may have noticed that I archived the original Finding Bacteria project. We were gifted an incubator by a local lab and environmental testing group. This new project is to get the final materials for our project.
My students need the Petri dishes and swabs to test for and grow cultures.
This lab will have students work in teams to hypothesize which areas of the building they think might produce bacteria. They will learn how to properly obtain a sample and grow it using the incubator we were gifted. Your donation will help students learn about a potential career!
