Help me give my students a great virtual learning experience in order to help with our future.

I teach in a rural community that serves a variety of students with varied abilities! I teach a wonderful community of first graders! In our classroom, each student is valued and an essential component of what makes our "classroom team." In our classroom, Team means "Together, everyone achieves more!" We work together, play together, read together, write together, smile together, learn together; yet, most importantly, succeed together!
"Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is a progress, working together is a success!"
In response to the current pandemic and the virtual adjustments that we've transitioned towards, I am requesting a laptop to make the transition as smooth as possible. A reliable computer will assist in providing access to websites, virtual lessons, and virtual meetings during our distance learning and collaboration times. It will give the ability to design interactive lessons more efficiently. During this time of distance learning, technology is key when working and connecting with students and their families.
I would also like to purchase materials needed to support an effective Economics and Financial Literacy curriculum in our first-grade classroom.
The laptop and the requested book will allow me to design a Financial Literacy/Economics curriculum that I will use in my classroom. The curriculum that I've planned to design will help teach my students key life skills while also giving them a sense of responsibility. We meet in class, as well as, virtually, weekly. I try to make learning as fun as possible during in-class and virtual. I have implemented many reward systems to help teach Financial Literacy. Our main classroom economy system is aligned with ClassDojo (used virtually AND in-class as classroom rewards system). Students can earn points for their good choices. They can redeem their points for prizes. I have taught them how to create a budget, invest, save, and spend. I have REVAMPED my teaching style to accommodate my students' needs. I want to continue to meet the needs of my students during our Financial Literacy lessons.
As we move into the year, this laptop would be one more resource to improve my digital teaching when we are not "face-to-face" in the classroom. These requested items will, too, be used to continue to enhance students' learning-even after the pandemic.
