Amazing! That word describes the students who walk through my door every day. I teach a creative group of first grade students. My students are inquisitive and like to question why. They are full of energy and give one hundred percent to everything they do. These children have big hopes and dreams, and I try to bring our curriculum to life with hands-on, innovative activities.
When you take a peek in my classroom door, you will see eager faces, ready to learn.
You will see students who enjoy sharing laughter with their peers, putting their problem-solving skills to use with STEAM activities, creating artwork, and playing with their friends. I want my students to know the sky is the limit and that they should reach for the stars.
Distance learning is hard! I am requesting supplies for my students to use during this time. When we do our Zoom meeting, students love to share their artwork. Students will use the watercolors, sharpies, and cardstock will be for students to create artwork that can be shared in our Google Classroom. Today in our meeting a student mentioned playing card games with their family and so I want to also get each student a deck of cards and dice. Families can use the cards and dice to play math games that will enhance their math fact fluency. This will build a solid foundation for financial literacy skills. At the end of our daily meeting, I do a read aloud. We will read the requested picture books at the end of our meeting.
