My students love to learn through interactive activities and lessons. This project will provide our class with precious tools needed for students to be actively engaged as they begin to understand financial literacy -- a necessary skill for our younger learners!
I work with a group of wonderfully energetic Kindergarten students.
They are eager to learn and willing to work hard. Our students love to learn through the use of our classroom technology, and by way of hands-on experiences that mimic real-world scenarios they see every day outside of the classroom.
My Project
Technology is a powerful tool in the classroom because it can engage and motivate students in new and exciting ways. My students love to use our two desktop computers for math games - but we need more equipment! The iPad mini we are requesting will ensure that more students are able interact daily with fun math apps and activities.
On top of that, the cash register and shopping supplies will allow students to hands-on interactions with one another as they role-play real world scenarios in our drama center, encouraging them to manipulate and become familiar with money!
This project is a wonderful opportunity to promote financial literacy in the Kindergarten classroom.
