Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have the immense pleasure of mentoring an amazing group of young minds on their way to take over the world.

They are bright, shy, funny, athletic, artistic, opinionated and in the full midst of teenage hormones.

It is a joy to guide them to find their place or make their place in this changing world.

My Project

The iPad will help my students take part in the many games available to learn more about finances. Having a good knowledge of finances today will ensure a future of good financial decisions for all of my scholars.

This iPad will allow them to use apps such as "Saving Spree, Green$treets: Unleash the Loot" that teach them about savings, money and its value in a subtle way.

The skills needed for a better future are no longer limited to reading and writing but being able to make financial decisions and I want all my students ready.

Regardless of their income today and or tomorrow, being financially literate can only lead to success.
