Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My First Graders are inquisitive students. They come to school every day with a passion to learn. They are motivated to expand their knowledge and help each other learn. My students are fascinated by the world around them and love reading and researching to learn more.
My students enjoy hands-on projects and using critical thinking skills to solve problems.
I enjoy watching their faces glow when they solve a coding problem, ask each other for help, or sharing their new learning and experiences.
My Project
International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) helps teachers from all around the world; integrating technology into classrooms in meaningful ways.
Technology is the future for our students.
This Professional Development will provide me with new learning to instruct my students to problem solve real life problems using technology. These experiences will directly have an impact on their comprehension and problem skills; which in turn will help them in future grades, college, and future careers.
This project will provide a portion of the food and travel costs covered while I attend the national ISTE convention, scheduled for June 2019, in Philadelphia, PA in order for me to attend workshops about Financial Literacy in educational technology.
