My Students

As a teacher in a Title-1 school, I am looking to create new and engaging opportunities for all of my students. In 4th grade, students are excited to use technology in exciting ways!

I love to see the students get excited to learn within the classroom.

My students do not all have access to technology at home, due to being in lower-income homes, so they are often excited whenever technology is brought out to use. Their creativity and ingenuity comes to life!

My Project

I am asking for two sets of the OSMO Genius kits and a cash register. These kits will be used in the 4th-grade classroom for students to use during Math centers.

Independent work has historically been worksheets, and engagement in the activities is sacrificed!

I am hoping to help my 4th graders increase their financial literacy through technology in centers. Students will be able to work independently or in partners to learn about money, fractions, and running a store. Another center will be having the students work in a "classroom city", and we need a play register and money for the students to use.

I am excited to see the students become more engaged during these math times as they are able to use the concepts in real-world situations!
