Help me give my students financial literacy books, games and pretend money for hands-on education and practical application of "Real World" life skills.
My classroom is a place of learning and fun! My second grade classroom has 20 enthusiastic students, each with their own unique talents and abilities. Our classroom is a melting pot of different backgrounds and life experiences.
Every student that comes through my door is unique in their own way, and together we are a community of learners that work with one another and learn from one another.
Second grade is all about learning with your friends and encouraging others to succeed!
My Project
In today's world where you can QuickPay money in seconds and a credit card pays for everything it is very important for students to learn about money.
Hands on learning and new books will help my students learn about money and financial literacy.
The magnetic money will be used during whole group instruction and centers. I've also included some place value resources that will help students with their math fluency which will help them add and subtract money. One of my favorite ways for students to learn about new things in through books. I have requested books about money and financial literacy that I would love to add to our classroom library. The books will lead to rich class discussions about how to make good financial choices. Thank you for reading and considering this project!
