This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school serves students grades Pre-K-5th. My school is located in an area of Arkansas that could be considered in need of repairs. More than 90% of our students are on a free or reduced lunch program.
Because money is in short supply, I am always looking for ways to help bring exciting new materials into the classroom.
My students have limited experiences, so projects like these help me make learning come to life. These experiences will help my students develop a love for learning.
My Project
Financial literacy is so essential to today's youth. My students do not understand that when they begin earning money that they will be responsible for how it is spent and saved. Most of my students believe that money is just for spending and have no concept of saving.
I would like my students to understand that saving money is essential!
To help students learn about saving and spending, I would like to create some center games that revolve around money. The copy paper I am requesting would be used to print the activities and the lamination pouches would be used to laminate them for durability.
