I work in a rural PreK-7 school in a one stoplight town. Our school population is just over 200 students. We are a close tight-knit community.
I have a phenomenal group of students that are hard working and love to learn.
They are VERY energetic, love to tell stories, have huge imaginations, and love to give hugs. They amaze me everyday!
We have a high free and reduced population in our school and our parents work hard to make ends meet. They want nothing but the best for their children and work hard to make sure they get the best education possible.
My Project
I have already received numerous donations for flexible seating in my classroom. I am so excited to implement the flexible seating but need a few more options for students who want to sit on the floor. The Flex-Space Wobble cushions are the perfect option for students who are wiggly but don’t want to sit at a desk. One more wobbly chair gives my kids an extra option for active learners sitting at their desks. Both the wobble chair and cushions will help the children stay focused on their learning. Since we will no longer have the use of our own desks to store supplies, I am in need of a few storage options. The paper trays, caddies, and Best Buy bins will give the students places to put their learning materials. This will make it quicker and easier for them to get their supplies to be ready to complete their assignments.
