Filling the Minds, Hearts, and Stomachs of My Students

Help me give my students a hands-on math experience through the Hands-On Equations resource along with books and TPT gift card.

My Project

Students will receive hands-one lessons with algebraic equations through the amazing "Hands-On Equations" resources. This will be their first introduction with this complex concept, setting them up with success for in-depth work in middle school. It is an amazing resource!

While we learn about equations, I want to ensure my students have full stomachs.

Many of my students do not bring their daily snack, and are starving by the time lunch happens. Satisfying one of Maslow's hierarchy of needs will ensure they are focused, full, and ready to learn.

Along with the Hands-on Equations we will be doing art. Construction paper and paints are things we are constantly using and are in need of.

We would also really like to do a novel study, and Save Me a Seat has many positive reviews. The message is one of importance, and encourages them to make strong choices during their upcoming middle school years.
