Our school has created a loving and caring environment, that our children and families have come to love. With the right resources each child can flourish!
The more resources teachers have to use in the classroom, the more enriched learning experience students will have.
My students are full of energy, excitement, and eager to learn about the world around them from every opportunity they are given. They are from a rural community, and many receive free or reduced price lunch. Supplies are not readily available and organization and accessibility becomes limited within the classroom.
My Project
These materials, will allow my students to be creative and take their learning to the next level. Many times people don't think of the little things that make a classroom run, but it is those little things that add up for a teacher financially which then can cause students to miss out on fun learning experiences because they are missing classroom basics.
Teachers need the basics so that they can provide enriching learning experiences for their students.
My project includes tempera paint, construction paper, tape, highlighters, and dry erase markers to make learning more hands-on for my students. I included magnetic ten frames to help my students have a daily visual way to learn tens and ones during whole group practice, and I included things like paperclips and large erasers to help with the daily organization and utilization for my students. I enjoy incorporating art into the curriculum and finding creative ways for my students to practice the skills that I am teaching them, which is what all of these materials will allow to occur. Learning needs to be engaging, fun, and organized for all students and needs to keep them on their toes! That's why having the basics in elementary classrooms is so important!
