Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach general education 5th graders. They are energetic yet hard working. My students are leaders and I strive to give them the best experience possible. I teach students of diverse needs and I feel it’s important that I give them the means to design a work space that is most efficient for them.
My Project
At this point I have a few items of flexible seating and I have to “raffle” them out. Students love working while in flexible seating items. They’re more comfortable and it helps with focus. My goal is to have enough flexible seating options for every student so that I don’t have to pick and choose who gets to use the few pieces I have daily. I want to give my students the chance to work in the workspace that is most efficient to their particular needs. I hope that I can add a few pieces to our classroom home :)
