Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Ever wanted to play a ball game at recess? Students run to the ball bin and...Oh no! Yet again all of the balls are flat.
I have a great of 31 respectful and eager to learn fifth graders.
They truly value education and their time at school, because often it is the safest place they have to be. The population is majority second language learners, but that doesn't stop them from reaching success. They are persistent in challenges and faithful in completing any daunting tasks!
My Project
If our classroom could receive a set of balls that do not deflate we could use them in many powerful ways to have fun both physically and be challenged academically through various activities. The more I can engage students by making learning fun, the more successful they will be as students and life long learners. The copy paper will help tremendously with the many papers sent home as homework or fliers and in-class worksheets. Jump ropes will allow students to have yet another fun way to engage in exercise at school; which is extremely important when considering the statistics on childhood obesity and diabetes.
What a difference these supplies would make in their school year of learning for these malleable fifth graders!
At such a sculpt-able age I want this school year to be one remembered as both challenging and engaging socially, emotionally, academically, and physically.
