My students need 30 copies of the book Only One You to commemorate their fifth grade graduation.

I work at a Title One, very low economic, neighborhood school. All students in our school qualify for free and reduced breakfast and lunch. They come from various backgrounds and ethnic groups. The students at the school are like a family and value a strong community feeling. At the end of the year, we will be having a graduation ceremony to celebrate the students completing their elementary school career. We as a school have decided that a nice theme for this celebration would be “Only One You” based on the popular “Only One You” by Linda Kraz. We would love for each of our students to be able to have this book to always remember that we all may be going in different directions, leaving Elementary school, but we will always remember the memories that we made together at school. We believe the world is out there waiting for them to conquer it and that they truly can do anything they set their heart on achieving. We are looking for donors to support these fifth grade students as they prepare for their future.
Our students are nervous, but excited to leave elementary school and continue on to middle school. This book has a great motivational message to students that each person is unique and their is only one of them. We believe giving students each this book at the end of the year ceremony would be a great way to end the year. We believe this will create a great lasting memory and give them a memento to remember their years at our school. In addition, staff members will be writing an inspirational message in the book. Since we have so many students in our fifth grade classrooms at our school, we cannot afford to buy each student a book.
We want this celebration to be special for them because they have been special to our school, many of them for the last five years.
We are hoping for each student this project can be funded by wonderful donors.
