My Students

My students are amazing. I am fortunate to have been hired in a high need, high poverty school. My students face many challenges, but arrive at school each day ready to learn! This year I am thrilled to be teaching a combined fourth and fifth grade class.

My classroom is a vibrant, caring community, filled with students who are enthusiastic in their learning.

My students love the outdoors are excited about the possibility of outdoor education camp this spring.

We need support to ensure that every student has the opportunity to attend camp. During our time at camp, our students will learn valuable skills such as leadership, teamwork environmental stewardship and confidence.

This is my first year in my own classroom. I changed careers because I know the future depends on giving every child a high quality education. It is my mission to shrink the poverty gap in education. Thank you for your support.

My Project

Our Fifth Grade students have not participated in overnight camp for many years. Because we are a low income school, this opportunity has not been offered to our students. This year, I am personally committed to closing the poverty gap in education at our school.

Outdoor Education Camp is an experience that builds confidence, leadership and teamwork, as well as providing important environmental stewardship educational opportunities.

We have 75 Fifth Grade students who are anxious to go to camp. This opportunity poses an economic hardship for many of our families, but your support will enable our students to go to camp!
