Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are incredibly curious and active! They enjoy hands-on learning that allow them to make real-world connections and applications. They enjoy the outdoors, socializing, and building positive friendships.
Our students especially love learning about health and wellness!
They enjoy learning about how to keep their bodies strong. Our classrooms help foster open discussions about healthy lifestyle choices. We promote independence by helping our students make positive decisions for themselves. Our students embrace growing up and are curious about the changes that will happen as they leave elementary school and bravely enter middle school!
My Project
Our Fifth grade students are growing up so quickly! To support their bodily health, prepare them for middle school, and help them develop independence, we are launching a mini-unit on health and hygiene. The materials in this project, such as floss and deodorant, will help us demonstrate and bring to life healthy hygiene habits.

The materials in this project will help our students learn about how to care independently for their teeth and their bodies!
We will learn about how to keep our teeth strong and healthy and how to prevent cavities. We will also learn how to keep our skin healthy by discussing and building positive cleaning habits.
