My Project

I believe every classroom should be a comfortable space for learning. Flexible seating is one of the easiest ways to add comfort to the learning environment, however, it is very expensive and only lasts for a few years with as much wear as it gets from the students. During independent work times, they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Currently, my students are choosing to work in a variety of locations in our room such as: at different tables, sitting under tables with clipboards, or sitting or lying on the floor with a clipboard. I also have bean bag chairs that the students love that is being held together with duct tape. Students sit in these bean bag chairs often for a variety of literacy activities.

This project is for gliders and ottomans, sofas, futons, and floor seats.
