This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are working so hard this season and we are so proud of how far they've come. The band hasn't had a pit in a few years due to COVID and lack of numbers, but we finally are back to where we have a full pit at the front of our marching band and unfortunately, our instruments are not set up to go outside. We would love to have some field frames for our marimbas so we can safely move them back and forth for rehearsals and safely transport them when we travel to games and competitions. These field frames are a very important aspect of any front ensemble and we are hoping to get our kids what they need to be successful and protect our equipment! Throughout the entire first semester, we've had to repair our marimbas over 25 times due to the frames not being equipped to handle being rolled outside each day for practice and onto trucks for football games. These types of field frames are crucial to ensuring our equipment is taken care of and can be used for seasons to come!
