This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Energetic and loving students in a impoverish environment. My students live in one of the largest cities in America with people from around the world visiting daily. Yet, what my students witness day to day is not what tourist usually see, and what tourist see is not what my student's witness. I am establishing this account to expose my students to hands on opportunities.
My goal is to provide an enriched class community using STEM and field experiences to match.
My Project
Donations needed for transportation to a local museum and zoo for my 4th grade classes. My students are working extremely hard to master all of the curriculum set by the federal, state, and school district standards, and a chance to have hands on experience would enhance the lessons concepts. The zoo will be a great place to complete our study on the structure and function of living organisms, and the science museum or equivalent will serve as a great place to learn about physical science with additional details on forms of energy. The exposure that the museum and zoo offers will help close out the Units the 4th grade team has been working so diligently to master.
We are in need of donations to help reduce cost for two excursion for low income students.
