One of our classroom goals is for all students to be reading on grade level. Our classroom revolves around centers and students helping one another learn. We enjoy working in teams. We believe we are college material!
I have fifteen students.
Fourteen are African American and one is Native American. There are four students who are above grade level, five students who are on/or boarder line grade level, and six who are below grade level. I have visual learners as well as auditory and tactile. My students try hard to accomplish tasks set before them. Some can breeze through assignments while others need more one on one assistance. Our school is located in a low income community with four low income housing complexes surrounding us.
We want to enforce our school safety rules by wearing tee shirts during our field day activities. This will help keep a visual of where my students are at all times. Tee shirts will also allow students to know where each other are. Tee shirts of the same color will also look professional.
This project will teach students order, safety, and team work.
It will keep students focused on field day activities instead of worrying about what each other is wearing. Therefore we can have a productive day.
