My Students

My students come from multiple cultural and economic backgrounds that significantly impact their education with over 98% of my students qualifying for free/reduced-price lunch. My students come to school every day knowing they are respected and their needs will be met.

For my students, school is an environment where they feel successful and rewarded for their positive efforts.

They are engaged in their learning that is differentiated to meet the needs of all students in the room. Students are appreciative of any outside resources that support their academic needs.

My Project

Students in 4th and 5th grade are growing. Many times students struggle to sit in a chair without fidgeting. Sometimes plastic chairs are just uncomfortable.

Adding more wobble chairs to my classroom allows my students to have more options.

If a student is struggling, they will be able to have a choice in what will help them focus more in the classroom. Something as simple as a wobble chair can make all the difference in the world.

Students of high poverty often experience much trauma in their world outside of school. It can manifest in behavior and lack of focus. Wobble chairs give students and option to help control their bodies.
