Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager, creative students who come to school excited to learn. They see school as a safe learning space where they can thrive. The majority of my students are English language learners who are also from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Their parents typically work several jobs to provide them everything they need.
Due to these challenges, I strive to have everything necessary to create a community feeling in my classroom and ensure they are successful in my TK classroom.
These fidget spinners will give an outlet to my students who need to move their bodies to use an acceptable outlet for their energy. The coloring books will be a great way for my students with special needs to have an outlet for their emotions. The bubbles will be a great way for the students to engage in fun movement.
