My students need sensory and learning materials to enhance their classroom environment.

"You know what!? You're my Fairy God Mother. That's what I'm calling you from now on!" And she has since that day. When she needs a hug. When she's happy. When we aren't seeing eye-to-eye. I am still her Fairy God Mother. And while on the surface, it seems silly, I've taken it seriously since that day.
It is not a disability, it's a different ability.
Everything about every one of my children is different. Their backgrounds are all different. The paths that lead them to my classroom are all different. But the one underlying fact that makes them all the same is that they are smart, loving, and deserving of a quality education. They deserve to love school. They deserve to love learning. They deserve to feel as magical as they believe me to be.
The yoga balls, bouncy bands, and sensory balls are for my students with ADHD, anxiety, and Autism. They would help to keep my students centered and focused in the classroom setting. I paid for many school supplies out of pocket this year and did not have enough to provide my students with their own individual supplies. The rulers, protractors, and expo markers would relieve some of that burden for me. Brain Games would be a wonderful surprise for my eager and competitive students.
Studies have shown that a person loses up to 20% of their IQ when they are in a state of anxiety.
My students have been diagnosed with Mild to Moderate Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, and ADHD. They come to school and fight for their education everyday. If I can relieve their anxiety in even a small way, I will always try. I would like to eventually have a completely sensory friendly classroom with ample alternative seating. I am starting with these items. Me and my students thank you for your contribution towards this goal in advance :)
