My students are full of life and love to learn. They come from the small town of Orting. These students are a diverse group of learners with many gifts and talents.
My students are successful when they are challenged and motivated to do their best.
I believe in meeting each student where they are and encouraging them to make growth based on their own goals.
Every one of my students is a success and and deserves the best I can give them.
My Project
Students will have an opportunity to fidget while they work. I would like each student in my class to have a Bouncy Band for their desk. The band fits on the outside legs of the desks allowing students to place their feet on and manipulate the band as it stretches. It is a quiet way for students to move that will not distract other students like the fidget spinner.
This will help all students in the classroom to be more focused with the use of movement.
The Bouncy Band can help students relax, relieve anxiety, deal with stress, and manage hyperactivity. The biggest benefit for students is that it can increase their ability to stay focused.
I want my students to have an outlet for their energy when they need to be in their seats that doesn't create a distraction for others. This tool is a great way to accomplish that goal. Please help my students and I continue to grow by supporting our Fidget While You Work grant!
