My Students
In our South Georgia middle school, we are blessed to educate our society's future inventors, scientists, nurses, humanitarians, doctors, and leaders of the world. Our future leaders come from diverse backgrounds, but when they come together, they form a family that creates a cooperative learning community that is committed to excellence and success in all they do.
Even though their differences, our future leaders share a deep commitment to leading, challenging, and motivating each other to succeed in all of their goals.
This project will afford our 6th-8th grade student-athletes the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and inviting environment that caters to their athletic, academic, and behavioral needs.
My Project
With over 60% of our student body returning to our learning spaces from virtual learning this spring, teachers are tasked with finding the needed tools to keep students engaged and motivated during a time of many unknowns in our students' lives.
Fidget toys like fidget cubes, Rubik's Cubes, and bubble sensory manipulatives have proven to reduce stress, anxiety, and aggression in our middle level learners.
The impact that fidget toys have had on our students' learning has been instrumental in creating an environment that is conducive to learning for all of our learners.
