Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are middle school ICT students as well ELL (English Language Learners). At our school, we believe everyone can succeed. Most of my students come from very low-level income housing and cannot afford basic supplies. They need access to things such as headphones, notebooks, and pens and pencils.

My Project

Ever get angry, upset, nervous, or distressed in any way and not know what to do about it? One way we do this is through the use of self-soothing materials such as fidgets. These fidgets are great ways to decrease their distress and bring them to the present moment. These fidgets will be used during mindfulness practices as well. Many of my students are working towards healthy social-emotional skills. These toys will help them when feeling down or upset and assist them in decreasing their stress levels.
