My Students
My students are intelligent, ambitious, and successful! They are full of life and laughter and make our community better. They are the reason that I come to work each and every day.
My students are often underestimated and ignored by the communities surrounding us.
As a Title I school with 100% free and reduced lunch, funds for instructional and classroom supplies are not exactly abundant.
My Project
Teenagers often have a hard time focusing in class. They are distracted by their cell phones, extra-curricular activities, and other students.
That's where fidget toys help.
Fidget toys allow my students to focus their energy on a small, quiet toy so that they can focus on the learning in the classroom.
I have previously acquired a variety of fidget toys and have found the ones that work and those that don't for my specific students. Unfortunately, some were not effective, some were broken, and some have been misplaced by students. This project purchases a wide variety of fidget toys to replace those that no longer are available and purchases additional of the fidget toys that have been the most successful for my students.
