My third graders belong to a low income, high diversity community in small town East Texas. Although they may not have many learning opportunities at home, my students seize every learning opportunity at school with enthusiasm.
I have never seen a group of students so full of questions and eagerness to learn!
These nine-year-old children enjoy challenging their peers through small group discussions and debate. Given easy access to appropriate supplies, materials, and encouragement, my students are learning how to work through difficult tasks. Ultimately, they are learning to love learning.
Let's face it - most minor issues (and some major ones) in the classroom happen because children need to wiggle. Students need a safe space and way to get out excess energy without disturbing everyone sitting around them.
These fidget bands will allow even the wiggliest of all students to bounce or kick out excess energy through their feet.
No more absent minded foot tapping. Students will be able to bounce a foot or both feet on the band instead of the on the floor. Allowing students to use these bands helps increase attention and focus on lessons because students can wiggle while listening.
